Forest Hill Heights is looking for a part time Dining Room Coordinator! With hours ranging from 11am-7pm, with an every other weekend requirement. The position of Dining Room Coordinator is an appointed position at Forest Hill Heights during the absence of the Culinary Director. He/she is responsible for assisting the Culinary Director by providing oversight and management of the functions of the dining room. This includes staff scheduling as well as oversight of the service delivery of meals to the residents at each mealtime. The Dining Room Coordinator position requires a thorough knowledge of the dining room service experience (waitress / waiter) as well as a general understanding of and appreciation for assisted living and life within Forest Hill Heights.

The Dining Room Coordinator assists and works cooperatively with the Culinary Director to assure the integration of meal preparation with meal presentation and service, maintaining the highest quality dining experience for each resident at every meal. In addition, the Dining Room Coordinator serves as a liaison among other departments as well as fellow dining room coordinators, cooks and servers, making sure there is an orderly and organized "flow" from the kitchen to the tables. In addition, the Dining Room Coordinator will continue normal Dining Room Coordinator responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

Provide assistance with generating and managing monthly (bi-weekly) dining room staffing schedule for Culinary Director and/or Administrator. Prepare and set up the dining room for each meal time. Serve meals, assigning servers to specific sections and/or tables Oversee the bussing and resetting of tables, being responsible as a contributor to the process as well as supervisor of the entire dining room Personally conduct or assigned traditional Dining Room Coordinator responsibilities in order to assure their completion as needed or warranted, including but not limited to:

making certain all counters, coffee machines, milk dispensers and utensils are clean and sanitized; store dairy products appropriately; perform daily cleaning schedule; dry and fold napkins and tablecloths; lay out menus at appropriate tables for appropriate meals; wipe chairs, chair legs as needed; vacuum dining room at conclusion of meal; prepare water for room delivery daily at 2:30 pm; stock kitchenettes with supplies on daily basis; collect and take all dirty linens to laundry.

Demonstrated, proven leadership within the Department Ability to read and write Waitress and/or hostess experience Characteristics:

Dependable, trustworthy Shows initiative and has "take responsibility" approach to leadership Ability to work well with others Able to stand and walk for lengthy periods of time
