Position Overview
We are seeking highly experienced Project Managers with strong backgrounds in aviation-related design and construction. This position oversees all aspects of project execution, including budget, schedule, technical scope, stakeholder coordination, and regulatory compliance.
The Project Manager is responsible for:
- Proactively managing budgets, schedules, contracts, and deliverables
- Leading cross-functional teams to deliver quality outcomes
- Coordinating with airport operations, city departments, contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies
- Ensuring compliance with environmental codes, safety standards, and airport-specific operational protocols
This is an onsite role in Austin, Texas. Candidates must be willing to relocate.
Minimum Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in construction project management, including major infrastructure programs
- Extensive experience in airport-related construction (taxiways, runways, terminals, concourse buildouts, tunnels, utilities)
- Ability to successfully pass a TSA criminal background check
- Strong working knowledge of environmental codes, regulatory requirements, and contract administration
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, SharePoint
- PMP certification required (must obtain within 9 months of hire if not already certified)
- Valid Driver’s License
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage projects from planning through closeout, ensuring delivery on scope, budget, and schedule
- Oversee contract administration, technical specifications, and design standards
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement and communication across multiple agencies
- Prepare RFQ/RFP packages, council documentation, reports, and presentations
- Monitor progress, manage risks, and support change management processes
- Review contractor pay applications, cost reports, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Support construction oversight, field inspections, and issue resolution
- Ensure final closeout deliverables (as-builts, O&M manuals, warranties) are completed

Compensation
- Salary Range: $165,000 – $175,000 annually
