Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher/ Kitchen Steward to join our culinary team. The Dishwasher/ Kitchen Steward plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring that all food service operations run smoothly. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about the culinary arts and have an interest in food preparation within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Responsibilities Wash and organize all china, glassware, silverware and buffet-ware Clean all pots, pans, cooking utensils and miscellaneous items as needed Maintain and organize all shelves with pots, pans, storage containers with an overall neat and tidy appearance in the kitchen Maintain clean work areas, utensils and equipment including the receiving/trash areas Clean and maintain the cleanliness of the floors, trash receptacles, outside areas and chemical storage room Assist Chefs/Cooks in putting away all food items and rotating the stock Clean and maintain the floors in the walk-in coolers Organize loading dock • Bundle cardboard in preparation for sale Remove all trash, recycling and cardboard to proper receptacles Clean cooking utensils, grills, hoods and filters, fryers, ovens, sinks, table tops and other kitchen equipment; also responsible to maintain sanitation, health and safety issues in the work area Remove fryer grease to appropriate disposal containers Report to supervisor any unusual problems with supplies, equipment or working conditions Clean and prepare food items as requested by Chefs and/or cooks • Other duties as assigned Qualifications
High school diploma or GED 6+ months of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified Ability to safely and effectively use cleaning equipment and supplies Ability to interact with all departments and members professionally and courteously Ability to ensure quality assurance programs in areas of responsibility Ability to multi-task with a professional demeanor while meeting and exceeding expectations Demonstrated organization and coordination skills Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills to a wide variety of constituents Excellent interpersonal/relationship-building skills Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service Physical Demands and Work Environment
