Position Summary:
The Food Service Worker is responsible for setting up and delivering resident meal trays, working efficiently on the tray line, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, including the dish machine and kitchen areas. This is an role requiring proficiency in all aspects of the tray line. Weekends and holidays are required.
Essential Position:
This position is considered "Essential". The incumbent must report to work regardless of extreme weather or other conditions.
Hourly Rate:
$17.00 per hour

REQUIRED.
Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Excellent customer service skills Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Ability to read, write, and speak English and follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to meet acceptable background check standards. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as appropriate Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in food service Experience in healthcare environment Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Department Responsibilities:
Accurately portion, serve, set up, and deliver all resident meal trays quickly with minimum waste and in accordance with departmental procedures. Clean and operate equipment per departmental procedures Accurately portion food items such as desserts, nourishments, hot food, cold food, bread, milk, etc. Assist with special events and catering as assigned. Safely transport food trucks and equipment to resident units, ensuring timely and proper delivery. Wrap silverware Scrape used resident trays of all refuse in the dish machine area and properly run dish machines. Mop all floor surfaces. Clean and wipe food trucks, tables, and stations Assist with Garden Grill Café service as assigned, serving residents and visitors Ensure cleanliness and organization of the café area Catering and vending duties as assigned. Adhere to organization and department dress codes and time/attendance policy. Provide exceptional service to veterans and staff members. All other duties as assigned by supervisors.
