POSITION OVERVIEW
Under the general supervision of the Quality Manager, this person is responsible for daily coordination of sanitation activities throughout the site. RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure overall performance of the sanitation team to include quality, safety, reliability, waste management, and sanitation to achieve business goals. Proactively encourage continuous improvement and daily problem-solving to increase operational effectiveness and efficiencies. Regularly review and coach team member performance. Attend Sanitation/QC DDS for priority alignment daily. Provide feedback for the janitorial crew. Submit a daily report of activities performed for Quality and Sanitation at the end of shift to the Quality lead. Understand scheduled downtimes on the floor by working with production & QC (during DDS). Follow duties and frequencies on Master Sanitation Schedule for the site; update duties and frequencies as needed. Identify new opportunities for sanitation improvement. Adapt to changeovers in filling areas, including sequencing and scheduling adjustments for efficiency. Brush down, vacuum, and wipe auxiliary equipment, including dust collectors, ladders, overhead pipes, shells, and debris collecting pans under fillers and labelers. Wet mop or dry mop aisles and work areas as needed. Replace cleaning tools as needed. Maintain inventory and replenish cleaning supplies. Ensure cleaning of overhead ducts, pipes, and light fixtures and stock restrooms as needed. Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace in assigned warehouse area, including lunch areas, sinks, shelves, and floors. Remove trash from production areas, breakrooms, and offices as needed. Sweep and vacuum all open floor space, including perimeters. Perform job tasks of other team members or those of equal or lower grades when required. Perform other duties as assigned or required. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Basic knowledge of cleaning devices, materials, and their uses. Ability to sustain physical work and communicate effectively. Ability to follow through on assigned tasks with minimal supervision. Ability to lift 25 lbs. (office area) or 50 lbs. (plant area). Basic knowledge of machine functions and computers/data entry. High school diploma or equivalent. Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Flexibility to work overtime daily and on weekends. Ability to operate a forklift, knuckle boom, scissor lift, and floor scrubber. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their uses. Must be able to work at high elevations. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
