Overview
The Clinical Informaticist supports MN Community Measurement’s clinical informatics and data integrity initiatives through project coordination, process development, and technical contributions. This role helps build organizational structure by creating and maintaining clear processes, supporting knowledge management, and assisting with recurring quality measurement workflows. In addition, the Clinical Informaticist contributes to onboarding of healthcare organizations, assists with SQL- and Python-based validation, and supports research and outcome measurement projects. Working under the direction of the Director of Data Integrity and Clinical Informatics, this role focuses on execution and implementation, helping transform high-level strategies into consistent, sustainable practices.
Responsibilities
Provide project coordination support across clinical informatics and data integrity initiatives.
Assist in building organizational structure through process development, workflow documentation, and knowledge management systems.
Support recurring certification, validation, and reporting processes by helping maintain sustainable workflows.
Contribute to onboarding of healthcare organizations by reviewing SQL queries and supporting validation activities.
Apply clinical knowledge or coding expertise to ensure accuracy and clarity in process development and data validation.
Assist with research and outcome measurement projects, including literature review and data analysis tasks.
Collaborate with analysts and leadership to strengthen consistency, standardization, and organizational efficiency.
Qualifications Required
Education or certification in a clinical, informatics, or health information discipline (e.g., nursing, pharmacy tech, HIM, medical coding, health informatics).
One year experience in healthcare quality measurement, clinical research, or informatics projects.
Proficiency in SQL and Python for data validation and analysis.
Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to support process development and project coordination.
Strong writing and communication skills, with ability to contribute to clear workflows and structured systems.
Ability to thrive in a small company environment, balancing multiple responsibilities.
Preferred
Familiarity with medical coding systems, value sets, or interoperability standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7).
Prior experience supporting external partners or healthcare organizations.
