THE PLYMOUTH PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT IS SEEKING DISTRICT-WIDE GENERAL CAFETERIA WORKER
Reports to: Lead Cook at needed school per Director's request
Job Purpose: To prepare and present nutritious lunches throughout the school year. Also, after lunch has conclude to assist in kitchen clean-up.
Major Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing daily lunches. Learn the various food stations and methods of display. Help maintain clean kitchen. Notify the Lead Cook of any equipment in need of maintenance or repairs. Develop a knowledge of State regulations. Learn the Point-of-Sale (POS) system, as necessary. These statements describe the essential responsibilities of the job; other duties not described here may be assigned as needed. Regular and consistent attendance is considered an essential function of this position.
Knowledge and Skills Required: High School and one year of previous related experience in school food service preferred. Serve Safe certification with appropriate experience and training (preferred). Familiarity with various point of sale systems (preferred). Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and co-workers. Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all District requirements and Board of Education policies.
BEGINNING DATE: As Soon As Possible
DAILY HOURS: 4.75 hours per day
WEEKLY HOURS: 23.75 hours per week
DAYS PER WEEK: Monday through Friday
CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: Until Filled
BENEFITS: This position does not carry any benefits
SALARY: $16.81 per hour
