POSITION: PROCESS COATER II - A SHIFT - PAN COATER Responsibilities
Perform coating operations such as Painting of Pins & Collars, Cetyl Alcohol Lubrication, Water Based Cetyl, Automatic paint applications, Dry film Lube, Pan Coater paint application, Rotomat paint application. Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and job routers to ensure compliance with specifications. Operate coating equipment, including spray equipment, bake ovens, and lube tanks. Troubleshoot equipment and report repair needs to the Lead or Supervisor. Operate electric or manual pumps for chemical or paint removal as needed. Handle all chemicals safely in accordance with company and governmental regulations. Ensure product quality meets all company and industry standards. Complete assigned workload efficiently and on schedule. Monitor and maintain equipment performance, report malfunctions promptly. Train new coating operators as assigned. Follow all company health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and practices; attend required HSE training and report nonconformance immediately. Promote continuous improvement and participate in waste elimination initiatives, including recycling. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience and Skills
Analytical synthesizes complex information; collects and researches data; understands workflows. Technical Skills manufacturing and processing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly and production equipment. Oral Communication clear, persuasive, and effective in various settings; presents concepts simply; participates in meetings. High School diploma or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working experience with processing manufacturing procedures; 13 years industrial experience and/or training in related area desired. Language, Math, and Computer Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence; effective one-on-one and small group presentation skills. Basic math skills and ability to perform calculations in all units of measure. Basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and other applications. Physical Demands & Work Environment
Stand and walk for extended periods; frequent movement including bending, twisting, squatting; lift/carry/push/pull up to 30 pounds. Operates in a loud environment; exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and chemicals; PPE required (safety glasses, hearing protection, proper footwear, respirators in specified areas). Comply with HSE policies; participate in HSE training; report any malfunctions or risky situations; implement preventive actions to reduce environmental impact. Participate in risk/incident analyses and HSE working groups as requested; be familiar with site HSE policy and objectives. Propose improvements to working conditions and environmental impact.
