Asset management experience is preferred. - are they open to general banking compliance. THIS IS REALLY ABOUT TECHNOLOGY, a person who is a TECH WRITER
BUT THEY WANT THEM TO KNOW SUCH THINGS AS -- Life cycle of a trade if they knew what a trade is.
They are looking for someone who can CREATE the policy, based on already quite detailed input and the skills they are looking for -
  1. Understanding how technology works in a big bank / Financial organization
  2. Able to communicate well with the different departments
  3. Able to extract the documentation from these departments. And make a synthesis of what they say
  4. This candidate does not need to be technically aware of how these things work - he can talk to SMEs on the line and write down what they say
  5. They are looking for someone who can document and share it with easily with people

Role Overview : Seeking a Business Analyst to document internal standards, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA).
• Documentation Expertise : Proven experience in writing formal documentation that meets regulatory standards, ideally within the financial services or asset management sectors.
• Regulatory Knowledge : Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks, preferably within the EU , but not mandatory. Willingness to quickly learn and adapt to DORA requirements.
• Information Synthesis : Ability to gather and synthesize information from various internal sources such as Wiki, Intranet, and other documentation repositories.
Areas of Focus: ( these are examples of what the policy is about )
• Capacity Management and Load Balancing : Document processes to ensure systems can handle peak loads and maintain operational efficiency.
• Monitoring and Alerting : Develop documentation for continuous monitoring and alerting systems to detect and respond to incidents promptly.
• Failover Testing : Create detailed procedures for regular failover testing to ensure seamless transition to backup operations.
• Backup and Restoration : Document robust backup and restoration processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Incident Response : Develop TechOps / NOC playbooks for incident response, including incident tracking and corrective action logs.
• Stakeholder Collaboration : Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal stakeholders, including IT, legal, and compliance teams.
• ttention to Detail : High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
• Project Management : Basic project management skills to track progress and ensure timely completion of documentation tasks.
• Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex regulatory requirements in a clear and concise manner.
• Location : Based onsite in our Newport Beach office.
• Preferred Experience : Previous experience in a global asset management company or similar financial institution is a plus
