We are currently looking for a:

Adventureland Park - Barback

Roles & Responsibilities:

Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner as they approach the bar Keep the bar stocked with liquor, syrups, glasses, napkins and all other necessary items before and during service hours. Prepare garnishes, refill ice wells, change beer kegs, and restock napkins and straws. Store and stock refrigerators, ice machines, cups, straws, napkins and other service items as needed Understand and comply with all state and local health department standards Maintain professional appearance and adhere to uniform standards Clean up the spills, remove the glassware and organize the counter. Collaborate with managers, kitchen staff and security personnel to ensure efficient service to customers. Assist with general maintenance situations in and around the bar, like cleaning up broken glass or resolving clogged drains. Maintain a knowledge of the menu items and assist guests by explaining how various menu items are prepared Adhere to all bar related TIPS training protocols Sanitize and clean service areas, bar tops, and surrounding bar areas, as needed Assist with to-go orders between kitchen and guests, as needed Promptly escalate any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or emergencies to the proper authorities All other duties assigned by leadership Education and Experience:

No education requirements for this position Previous work experience is not required Previous experience with alcoholic beverage serving and associated regulations would be helpful Must be Bartender/Server Certified (TIPS) or become so within 30 days of hire, when required by state and local guidelines. Language:

Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Iowa Child Labor Laws Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Ability to work until later hours of the night Must have reliable transportation to and from your scheduled shift Ability to comply with all uniform policies Ability to refrain from on-the-job consumption of alcohol Must possess safety-oriented mindset and understand the importance of complying with all state, and local beverage preparation and serving regulations Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independently Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday Ability to frequently stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders Ability to withstand heat and humidity from food preparation equipment Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 40 pounds or more Ability to consistently use hands to grasp, control, move objects/tools Ability to use step stools, as needed Working Conditions:

This role will be based in one or more F&B and/or restaurant locations throughout the park, with exposure to both indoor and outdoor environments Frequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, and other weather conditions Subject to constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, flashing lights, and heavily populated environments Subject to frequent handling of cleaning chemicals and detergents Subject to frequent interruptions and requests that may require reprioritization of activities Team member benefits:
