A health system is seeking a breast surgeon for locum tenens coverage.

The facility is located in southern Alabama.

About the Clinician's Workday

This is a full-time breast surgery position needed as soon as possible and expected to continue until a permanent hire is found. The schedule is Monday through Thursday from 7:30AM to 4:30PM and Friday from 7:30AM to 3PM, with the possibility of splitting coverage between up to two providers. The surgeon will work in both a clinic and surgical setting, seeing 2025 clinic patients per day and performing 26 procedures daily, including cases that may require breast reconstruction or plastic surgery. There will be call for patient follow-up (but no ED call) and some weekend coverage is needed. The provider will collaborate with a medical oncology team and have support from a mid-level provider.
