About The Position
Interventional Cardiology Locums - Kentucky Physician Assignment
Join a high-volume interventional cardiology team in Kentucky, just minutes from Huntington
Highlights:
- Start with one block in a multi-lab cath suite, build up volume quickly
- Long-term assignment with weekly pay
Practice Setting:
- 8 cath labs on-site (1 hybrid); shared with EP, structural heart, vascular
- Support from 14 APPs and anesthesiology team including cardiac-trained
- Accredited cardiac cath lab and chest pain center
- Mix of inpatient (40%) and outpatient (60%) cases
Schedule:
- 3 half-days clinic to start, including 1 outreach site
- 4-4.5 total days/week including procedures
- No Saturday clinic; M-F morning clinic: 8:00 am-11:30 am
- Call: 1:4 rotation, includes weekday and Fri-Sun blocks
Cases and Procedures:
- Standard interventional cardiology procedures
- TandemHeart in use; TriClip recently approved
- 1,100 PCIs and 3,000+ diagnostics annually
- No same-day discharge; overnight observation standard
Requirements:
- Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology
- ACLS required
- Kentucky license or IMLC eligible
Travel Accommodations:
