About The Position
We are seeking a Family Practice Physician for a 96-day locum tenens assignment in Florida, beginning Sep 29, 2025. This role offers a Monday through Thursday schedule, with shifts from 9am to approximately 1:30pm or 2pm, serving a veteran-based patient population. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing and refilling pain medications, possess a good bedside manner, and be adept at overseeing medication monitoring within a collaborative care team.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct patient visits, review medical charts, and assess medication efficacy
- Oversee and manage pain medication regimens, including refills
- Collaborate with staff on pill counts and medication monitoring using e-force and Practice Fusion
- Review laboratory results and patient charts to inform medication management
- Order and send medications as appropriate
- Ensure accurate documentation in Practice Fusion EMR
- Deliver care with a focus on the needs of a veteran-based clientele
Additional Information
- Active Florida medical license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine required
- Good bedside manner essential
- Experience with Practice Fusion EMR preferred
