About The Position

Wellhart is seeking a board-certified OB/GYN physician for a 36-day locum tenens assignment at a Trauma hospital in Michigan. The assignment begins on 12/01/2025, with clinic hours from 8am-5pm and 24-hour hospital call coverage. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing both low and high-risk pregnancies, performing various delivery procedures including C-sections and VBACs, and conducting a wide range of gynecological procedures. This role requires expertise in both outpatient and inpatient settings, utilizing Epic EMR. The position offers comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care in a clinic, call, and hospital practice setting, with potential for extension.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Manage low and high-risk pregnancies

• Perform routine and complicated deliveries, including vaginal, C-section, and VBAC

• Handle multiple births, breech presentations, and obstetric emergencies

• Repair 3rd and 4th-degree lacerations

• Conduct minor gynecological procedures such as IUD insertions, cystoscopies, colposcopies, cryosurgeries, and LEEP

• Perform open gynecological surgeries

• Provide comprehensive prenatal and postnatal care

• Manage obstetric and gynecological emergencies during call shifts

• Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and care coordination

• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare providers

• Ensure high-quality patient care and safety standards are met

• Adapt to both clinic and hospital environments
