About The Position
We are seeking a Hospitalist Physician in West Virginia for a 192-day locum tenens assignment starting on Dec 15, 2025. This role involves shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Sunday through Saturday, providing care in hospital settings.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Admit and manage all aspects of care for hospitalized medical patients
- Perform admission duties including history and physical examinations
- Evaluate and treat patients, order and interpret diagnostic studies
- Discuss end-of-life preferences and advanced care planning
- Consult with sub-specialists and coordinate care with primary care physicians
- Manage discharge processes ensuring appropriate follow-up
- Provide care to patients in critical/acute care settings
- Perform procedures such as abscess incision and drainage, thoracentesis, and lumbar puncture
Additional Information
- Must be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine
- Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment
