About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in Pennsylvania beginning Jan 1, 2026. This 36-day opportunity offers full-time or part-time day shifts (Mon-Sun, 8a-8p) caring for patients of all ages in a dynamic, independent clinical environment.

- Schedule: Monday through Sunday, 8am-8pm; full-time (12+ shifts/month) or part-time (10+ shifts/month)
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide urgent care services to patients of all ages
- Independently manage patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans
- Perform orthopedic procedures including splinting
- Deliver wound care, including suturing, I&Ds, and laceration repairs
- Interpret X-rays and EKGs as appropriate
- Perform phlebotomy, IV placement, and injections
- Travel between assigned clinical sites within a 30-mile radius as needed
- Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and care coordination
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and clinical protocols
Additional Information
- Minimum of 2 years of urgent care experience or 1 year of emergency medicine experience required
- Must be comfortable working independently without supervision
- Must be comfortable treating pediatric through geriatric patients
- Active Pennsylvania state license, DEA, and CSR required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Drug screening and background check completed within the last 12 months required upon acceptance
- NPDB self-query (within 30 days) required for consideration
