Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee all plant operations, including production planning, line setup, layout optimization, and documentation for both new product launches and ongoing manufacturing activities. Drive strategic initiatives for equipment upgrades, automation, and tooling acquisition to support production goals. Establish, monitor, and continuously improve production standards to ensure food safety, product quality, and operational efficiency. Provide hands-on leadership in resolving mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues, including downtime and quality deviations. Oversee product testing and quality assurance procedures to validate performance and ensure regulatory compliance. Champion continuous improvement efforts across production, sanitation, and supply chain workflows. Ensure accurate creation and maintenance of manufacturing bills of material (MBOM) aligned with product specifications and regulatory requirements. Supervise and support pilot runs, shelf-life testing, and performance trials for new products. Review and approve QA reports, test plans, and production records to ensure thorough documentation and audit readiness. Conduct internal audits across departments to uphold GMP, HACCP, and other food safety standards.

Required Qualifications:

B.S. degree in Food Science, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in manufacturing leadership, preferably in food or beverage production. Proven experience managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Familiarity with food safety regulations (FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP). Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Excellent communication and leadership skills to engage with production teams, QA, engineering, and supply chain partners.

Preferred Qualifications:

Deep knowledge of processing equipment and packaging technologies used in food and beverage manufacturing. Experience with sanitation systems, allergen control, and environmental monitoring. Familiarity with ERP systems and digital manufacturing tools. Working knowledge of SQF, BRC, or other GFSI-recognized standards. Exposure to product development and commercialization processes.
