Pay: Competitive | Employment type: Full-Time Job Description Your Role: National Account & Market Access Director ( East ) will be responsible for leading engagements with formulary decision-makers (that may include relevant stakeholders at national and regional payers and accounts) and conducting compliant pre-approval information exchange (PIE) to support the successful launch of the company’s first CAR T-cell therapy. This individual will play a central role in developing and executing reimbursement strategies to secure appropriate coverage across commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and federal payer segments. As part of a small, cross-functional team preparing for a first commercial launch, the National Account Director will also support distribution planning, patient access services, HEOR initiatives, and field pull-through to ensure broad and sustainable patient access. This position will report to the VP, Cell Therapy Market Access, US Biomedicine. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Market Access Strategy & Execution Develop and implement payer engagement strategies across national and regional commercial payers, Medicare, Medicaid, and federal accounts including the VA, DoD, and TRICARE. Lead compliant pre-approval information exchange (PIE) activities with payer medical and pharmacy decision-makers, ensuring timely and accurate communication of clinical data, value proposition, and anticipated launch timing. Lead pull-through engagements at the account level by compliantly demonstrating economic value during pre, during and post launch phases as appropriate. Drive strategies to ensure appropriate coverage, coding, and reimbursement to support broad and sustainable patient access. Support development and execution of contracting strategies where appropriate, in collaboration with internal stakeholders and legal/compliance. Develop and manage account level business plans for top 20-30 strategic accounts (national payers, CAR-T centers). Payer Relationship Management Serve as the primary interface for assigned payer accounts, building strategic, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders across medical, pharmacy, and policy teams. Monitor access barriers and proactively address coverage issues, supporting resolution of policy challenges and claims denials. Represent the company as a collaborative and credible partner to payers and organized customers, both during and after launch. Cross-Functional Collaboration Support the development and execution of distribution and patient access services, including 3PL model design, HUB services, and reimbursement support tools. Contribute to HEOR and evidence generation strategies, providing account and payer insights to inform value demonstration, real-world evidence plans, and health economic modeling. Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Patient Services, Marketing, Account Management, Business Excellence and CAR T Operations teams to align strategies and coordinate pull-through activities. Provide actionable insights from the payer landscape to shape messaging, patient journey mapping, and go-to-market strategy. Launch Readiness Contribute to the creation of payer-facing materials including PIE decks, AMCP dossiers, value decks, and coverage support tools. Participate in the development of market access training and internal education to ensure cross-functional alignment on access goals. Attend and represent Market Access at key industry conferences (e.g., AMCP), national sales meetings, and launch planning sessions. Requirements

Bachelor’s (BA/BS) degree required. Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PharmD, PhD) preferred; Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in market access or payer account management in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry; or a combination of education and experience. Customer-facing experience managing relationships with national and regional payers at all levels across commercial/federal/and state channels. Previous experience in launching specialty, oncology, rare disease, or cell/gene therapies strongly preferred. Deep knowledge of reimbursement models, payer policy development, and contracting levers (e.g., medical vs pharmacy benefit). Experience with pre-approval information exchange and understanding of FDA and OIG guidance on compliant communications. Demonstrated ability to lead in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, managing multiple stakeholders and evolving priorities. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required (40-60%). Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Deep understanding of U.S. account and payer decision-making frameworks, and policy trends. Proven ability to negotiate with and influence payers, policymakers, and healthcare systems at a senior level. Executive presence with excellent communication and leadership skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at executive levels internally and externally. Strategic thinker with a high degree of learning agility and comfort with ambiguity. Strong analytical skills: able to use data to guide planning and adjust tactics in real time. Entrepreneurial mindset with willingness to step outside traditional role boundaries to drive company success. Proven experience ensuring compliance with the OIG, FDA, and other regulatory requirements related to market access, pricing, reimbursement, and patient support programs. Additional Information

Physical Demands: The role requires standard physical abilities; see original description for details. Work Environment: Fully remote with travel; compliance with Miltenyi Remote Work Policy; occasional site visits; PPE and SOP adherence. The hiring range for this position is expected to fall between $155,200 - $209,000, reflecting the range candidates can reasonably expect to be considered for at time of offer, based on factors such as experience, internal equity, and qualifications. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of considerations, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialization, skills, abilities, and training. The above range represents the Company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition to your salary, the Company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision, and dental insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan.
