Position Overview for Material Handler As a Material Handler, you will play a vital role in keeping production running smoothly. You will be responsible for safely moving raw materials, finished goods, and dunnage, supporting both shipping and receiving operations. This position requires strong attention to detail, safe forklift operation, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities for Material Handler Safely operate a sit-down propane forklift to move, load, and unload raw materials, products, and dunnage. Perform shipping & receiving duties, including weighing, labeling, and documenting inventory using computer systems. Accurately prioritize workflow and cooperate with leads, operators, and material control to support production. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety procedures. Assist with other warehouse and production support tasks as needed. Requirements for Material Handler High school diploma or equivalent with 13 years of shipping & receiving experience (manufacturing preferred). Proven sit-down propane forklift experience in a busy environment. Strong attention to detail for accurate data entry and inventory tracking. Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented with good communication skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and working in a production setting with required PPE (steel-toe shoes, gloves, ear protection).
