Material Handler

The Material Handler is responsible for creating kits and packing based on work orders, distributing materials throughout the facility, using SAP for documentation and reporting. Responsibilities include creating kits and distributing them to the production area, creating package labels for external customers, working with serial numbers and PO numbers while maintaining a high level of accuracy, prioritizing tasks and working efficiently under pressure, performing cycle counts and inventory management, and operating forklifts, RF scanners, and pallet jacks. Essential Skills include material handling experience, proficiency in kitting and order picking, ability to handle production processes, familiarity with inventory systems, experience with forklift operation, and competence in using RF scanners and pallet jacks. Additional Skills & Qualifications include initiative, motivation, and confidence, strong computer skills, basic math proficiency, attention to detail, ability to read and communicate in English, aerospace experience is a plus but not required, manufacturing experience is required, and a high school diploma is required, with a BA/BS preferred for leadership roles. Work Environment Work hours are Monday to Friday from 5 AM to 1:30 PM or Monday to Thursday from 5 AM to 3:30 PM in a manufacturing environment that can occasionally be loud. Steel toe shoes and safety glasses are required. The assignment is a 90-working-day temp-to-hire position, approximately 4 months. Attendance is crucial, and tenure is highly valued. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Simi Valley, California. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
