Reporting to the project procurement lead, the Junior Buyer will perform purchasing tasks in accordance with standard techniques, procedures, and criteria but may be called upon to perform other procurement discipline tasks such as office expediting.

The daily tasks of a Junior Buyer are diverse and require multitasking, key responsibilities include: Vendor Analysis: Assess potential vendors and build long-term relationships. Negotiating Terms and Conditions, work with vendors to secure favorable terms. Incorporating standard Procurement procedures and strategies in the procurement of goods for the project. Managing the execution of all procurement activities of the assigned packages and works with EPC contractor(s) procurement team and cross functional departments to ensure plans, budgets, and schedules are being achieved. Interacting with the Project Procurement Lead, Discipline Leads, and EPC Contractor Company on a day-to-day basis to meet project procurement objectives. Collaborating with internal team as well as EPC contractor(s) on strategic procurement and supply chain solutions. Develop sources strategies and the use of company's Strategic Supplier Relationships. Perform purchasing tasks in accordance with standard techniques and procedures RFQ Bidders Lists Requests for Quotation (RFQs) Supplier bids Commercial Evaluations Purchase Orders and Change Orders Material Status Reports RFQ Status Reports Expediting status reports Critical correspondence with vendors Maintaining records to ensure accurate documentation of purchases and transactions

Qualifications and Skills: Excellent knowledge and experience in ARIBA and SAP modules. 2+ year experience in the project procurement in construction or mining industries. A bachelor’s degree - Engineering (Civil and/or Mechanical preferred) or Business-related studies. Knowledge of and qualification in Project Management will be helpful.

Work Schedule: Monday- Friday, 10 hour days Schedule Rotation: 4 weeks on, 1 week off Monthly Stipend: $750 Classification: Exempt Living accommodations provided if non-local
