Coleman Talley LLP is seeking a driven Associate Attorney with 1–3 years of experience in commercial real estate to join our downtown Jacksonville office. The position primarily supports our Affordable and Multi-Family Housing Practice Group and offers the chance to work on meaningful projects that positively impact communities throughout the Southeastern United States.

Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with team to close commercial real estate and multi-family housing transactions. Draft routine contracts. Assist closing team with property acquisition, due diligence (title, easements, survey, zoning), and closings. Review title commitments and surveys, identify and resolve title issues, and coordinate with title companies and surveyors. Prepare and respond to title objection letters and conduct final review of title and survey documents before closing. Conduct due diligence including environmental reports and coordination with consultants. Research compliance requirements with federal, state, and local agencies and assist with tax credit applications. Maintain organized records of title, survey, and closing documents, and prepare internal checklists and signature packets. Coordinate with lenders, investors, and public agencies throughout the deal lifecycle. Collaborate effectively with team and maintain proactive communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications: J.D. from an accredited law school. 1–3 years of relevant experience in commercial real estate or housing transactions. Licensed in Florida or Georgia. Strong legal writing, analytical, attention to detail, and organizational skills. Familiarity with affordable housing programs and financing a plus (LIHTC, tax-exempt bonds, HOME funds, USDA loans, FHA/HUD loans, and other financing tools).
