General Contractor/Construction Manager
in the
Philadelphia, PA
area on their search for a
Superintendent
with experience in commercial, MOB, retail. Provide field supervision and management to ensure minimal disruption to our client’s staff and residents, that we deliver a high-quality product for a reasonable cost, and that the project is completed on schedule.
Duties & Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations of construction projects from start to finish. Coordinate and supervise all field activities, subcontractors, and crews. Ensure work is performed safely, on schedule, and within budget. Interpret and enforce construction plans, blueprints, and specifications. Conduct daily site inspections and resolve any on-site issues. Manage project schedules, sequencing, and work assignments. Communicate regularly with project managers, owners, architects, and engineers. Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards. Monitor quality of workmanship and materials. Order, track, and manage delivery of equipment and materials. Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, logs, and progress photos. Lead weekly site meetings with subcontractors and stakeholders.
Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a similar field plus
5-10 years in construction
project management with GC or related construction experience preferred Time management, organizational skills and ability to multi- task required Entrepreneurial mindset Understanding of local permit and zoning regulations Proficient with Excel,
Procore
and Microsoft Office as well as job costing software
