Join PMK as a junior Customs Clerk or more experienced Customs Entry Writer with a focus on ocean imports and domestic delivery. You will work with some of the industry’s most respected customs specialists. Our diverse client list allows you to expand your classification and compliance knowledge.
This role includes responsibility for inbound shipment process in adherence to the local customs authority and other government agencies (OGA’s) including FDA, FCC, USDA, FWS etc, and to provide quality customer service and problem resolution to ensure timely and accurate customs release.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ·
Process customs entries and related government agency interfaces that may apply ·
Meet service level requirements aligned with standard operating procedures (SOP) ·
Prioritize work based on estimated time of arrival (ETA), product service level, workflow processes, last free day and transportation mode ·
Classify entry per client SOP, Parts Database, and/or direction from licensed customs broker or classification specialist ·
Enter required shipment and customs data into brokerage system (NetChb) ·
Proactively work with government agencies and customs authorities to resolve issues
