Our client, a well-established Women’s Contemporary Brand is searching for an Associate Designer focusing on sweaters and knits for immediate hire. Must have a contemporary aesthetic designing knitwear. Develop and create a vision for new product line assortments by collaborating with the cross-functional team. Strong CAD a technical experience is a plus. Collaborate with the team with design concepts and building product assortments. Responsibilities: Design and development for knitwear, and woven's Support the placement strategy and follow-up by recommending product placement Participate in design strategies and execution for knits, and woven's Involved in all product development and sales meetings projecting future fabrications Work with the design team and management to develop time and action calendars for programs Prepare trend boards for management meetings Manage product integrity and order specifications compliance. Approve lab dips, new fabric developments, and the general flow of the process Qualifications 2 plus years of experience in apparel design Tech pack knowledge Knowledge and understanding of knit fabrics, and sweaters Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop Problem-solving abilities in meeting deadlines. Microsoft Office Programs BA Degree
