Accounting Opportunity with a National Healthcare Company – Orlando, FL

Salary: $65,000 – $70,000 | Fully In-Office

Tews Company is partnering with a leading national healthcare organization to hire a full-time Accountant for their Orlando office. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that supports high-quality patient care through accurate financial management and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance
  • Assist with month-end close processes and financial reporting
  • Manage fixed asset activities, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals
  • Reconcile asset sub-ledgers with the general ledger and identify discrepancies
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate reporting of construction-in-progress and other assets
  • Analyze accounts and explain variances compared to prior periods or budgets
  • Respond to internal and external accounting inquiries
  • Perform other accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in month-end close processes
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
  • Experience with general ledger reconciliation and journal entry preparation
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • High attention to detail, self-motivated, and well-organized

Additional Requirements

  • Employment contingent on background check and, if applicable, drug screening
  • Valid driver’s license if required for the role

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Fully in-office in Orlando, FL
  • Standard office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use
  • Ability to focus on detailed work and maintain confidentiality

Technical Skills

  • Proficient with email, internet research, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), and accounting software
  • Comfortable using Excel for advanced data analysis and reporting
