Overview
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team and provide comprehensive HR support for our Milwaukee and Brookfield offices. This role is responsible for overseeing staff recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR operations, while serving as a trusted partner to attorneys, staff, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle staff recruitment, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and partnership with placement agencies. Serve as Account Administrator for the firm’s LinkedIn recruiting platform.
- Facilitate new-hire onboarding and orientation to ensure a seamless employee experience.
- Serve as a resource for employees, responding to questions regarding benefits, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct annual performance reviews and recommend staff assignments.
- Develop and maintain job descriptions and position specifications.
- Organize wellness and employee engagement initiatives, including firm-wide events and the monthly employee newsletter.
- Complete salary surveys, prepare bonus memos, and collaborate with Finance and Marketing on reporting and RFPs.
- Provide HR-related reporting and data analysis to support firm operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
- 5–8 years of progressively responsible HR experience.
- Proven experience recruiting for professional services or legal support staff roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust, resolve conflicts, and maintain confidentiality.
- Prior experience with LinkedIn recruiting tools; Account Administrator experience preferred.
- Regular and predictable attendance. This position is entirely in-office.
