This position supports a Cognos reporting team and involves collaboration with business sponsors, development teams and QA.

Responsibilities

• Write business requirements and BRDs; articulate current state and future state through workflow diagrams, process maps and flowcharts. Include screen shots and mockups for future state as needed.
• Manage requirements for the SDLC project lifecycle, including changes and new requirements. Ensure changes are agreed and communicated to project stakeholders; obtain business area sign-offs on requirements.
• Capture data mapping across source and target databases; provide clarification and follow-ups to development teams.
• Attend and lead walkthrough sessions with business areas, development teams and QA teams to review workflows and processes.
• Conduct working sessions across development teams to capture data mapping and ensure alignment with business needs.
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings, identify milestones and impediments, and help resolve blockers; escalate roadblocks as needed.
• Develop a roadmap that reconciles business requirements with technical or resource constraints.
• Support Product QA and User Acceptance Testing (UAT): respond to requirement clarifications, review test plans/cases, facilitate defect review meetings, and prepare for UAT readiness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• 3+ years of Cognos and SQL experience.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; technical acumen in Cognos and SQL is highly valued.
• Proven ability to build relationships with a wide range of business sponsors and to manage SDLC requirements and data analysis.
