Overview

Independent Cleaning Services are one of Hull and East Yorkshire’s largest cleaning companies and provide a range of cleaning services to Hull and the surrounding areas. We are looking to strengthen our team and are seeking another Area Cleaning Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Assist Area managers in overseeing and managing teams of cleaners across multiple locations.
• Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained at all times.
• Perform cleaning duties when needed (AM/PM shifts) to cover Hull, Lincolnshire, West Yorkshire and South-bank areas to support Area Managers.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to team members as needed.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are met and maintained.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Coordinate with site managers and clients to address any specific cleaning requirements.
• Handle and resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
• Assist in recruiting and hiring new cleaning staff when needed.
• Keep accurate records of cleaning activities, including time sheets and inventory management.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cleaning Supervisor or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and procedures.
• Excellent leadership and supervisory skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Proficient in using cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel between different locations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a mobile supervising cleaning role.
• Hours of work: Monday to Friday with flexible hours available. A split shift is in operation covering mornings and evenings and contract is 25 hours per week.
• Applicants must have a reliable car and hold a full, clean UK driving licence. Uniforms and equipment are provided along with full and detailed practical training.
• Rate of pay is £13.50 per hour. Plus car and fuel allowance is paid at a competitive rate.
