Job Title: Medical Director - Neonatology

This full-time position offers the chance to serve as either the NICU Medical Director or Associate Medical Director at a regional perinatal center.
Job Responsibilities:- Provide expert neonatal care at the regional perinatal center and affiliated Level 2 NICU.
- Manage and lead NICU operations, ensuring high-quality clinical care and operational excellence.
- Oversee advanced NICU services, including high-frequency ventilation, whole body cooling, and nitric oxide therapy.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary pediatric and maternal-fetal medicine subspecialists and neonatal care team members.
- Support medical education by mentoring medical students and residents.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and participate in research projects within the Virginia Neonatal Perinatal Collaborative.
- Provide clinical coverage including day shifts, on-call, and weekend duties as needed.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies while participating in leadership meetings and committees.
- Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Neonatology - REQUIRED.
- Neonatal leadership experience required for Medical Director role.
- Clean malpractice and medical license history - HIGHLY PREFERRED.
- Willingness to relocate to the local area is required.
- DEA must be obtained prior to start - REQUIRED.
- Virginia medical license or willingness to obtain - REQUIRED.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Neonatology - REQUIRED.
