About The Position
We are seeking a board certified or truly board eligible General Surgeon for a 10-day locum tenens assignment in Arkansas, starting Dec 24, 2025. This position features 24-hour call shifts from 7am to 7am, covering a broad range of general surgery, trauma, and minimally invasive procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform gallbladder, hernia, colorectal, endocrine, and surgical oncology procedures
- Conduct upper and lower endoscopies
- Manage numerous minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgeries
- Provide trauma care, including vascular repairs (30 percent of traumas are penetrating)
- Address a variety of abdominal and colorectal emergencies
- Respond to random acute surgical cases as needed
Additional Information
- Arkansas license required or willingness to apply upon offer
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
- Clean malpractice history preferred
- Availability at the time of name clear is required
- Board certification or board eligibility in Surgery required
