Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Remote Data Entry Clerk to join our administrative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining patient and office data in our systems. This role supports the smooth operation of our practice by ensuring records are complete, up to date, and easily accessible for our clinical and administrative staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately enter and update patient records, treatment details, and insurance information into electronic databases.
Verify and cross-check data for accuracy and completeness.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient and company information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Process and organize digital files, charts, and documentation for quick retrieval.
Assist with scheduling data updates, billing entries, and reporting as needed.
Communicate with team members to clarify data inconsistencies or missing information.
Generate reports and summaries from data systems when requested.
Perform routine data quality checks to minimize errors.
Support other administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience as a data entry clerk, office assistant, Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
