Position Overview: As a Project Engineer, you will collaborate with the project management team to ensure the smooth operation of construction projects. Responsibilities: Project Planning and Coordination: Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, ensuring alignment with project milestones and deadlines. Coordinate project activities, including procurement, subcontractor management, and material deliveries. Design and Engineering Support: Work closely with design teams and architects to review plans and specifications. Provide engineering support and insights during the project planning and execution phases. Document Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders. Organize and track project-related correspondence and communications. Quality Control: Assist in implementing and maintaining quality control measures on construction sites. Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications. Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Support the project management team in cost estimation and budget development. Monitor project costs and expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings. Subcontractor and Vendor Coordination: Assist in the coordination of subcontractors and vendors, ensuring adherence to project schedules and quality standards. Communicate effectively with subcontractors and vendors to address issues and facilitate collaboration. Safety Compliance: Enforce and promote a strong safety culture on construction sites. Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Qualifications: Previous experience or internships in a project engineering or construction-related role is a plus. Estimating experience is a plus. Strong technical and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
