The Process Engineer will focus on establishing and optimizing injection molding processes for our injection molding machines. This role entails developing standard production protocols, implementing automation solutions, and recommending process improvements.
Additionally, the Process Engineer will provide guidance on molds, machines, and auxiliary equipment, while also creating preventative maintenance schedules. This position includes a dotted line supervisory role over Process Technicians at the MS plant, emphasizing their training and development.

• Develop and establish injection molding processes for the manufacturing facility. • Implement automation technologies for injection molding machines. • Create clear work instructions and process controls. • Determine packaging requirements for injection molded components. • Recommend tooling options and oversee their implementation. • Propose enhancements for auxiliary equipment. • Assist in the training and onboarding of Process Technicians. • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process failures. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and production, to ensure alignment on project goals. • Monitor production metrics and analyze data to drive continuous improvement initiatives. • Stay current with industry trends and technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
Qualifications, Skills, and *****
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, with seven to ten years of relevant experience or training; equivalent education and experience will be considered. • Strong understanding of geometric tolerances and injection molding principles. • Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other continuous improvement methodologies • Excellent collaboration skills to achieve shared objectives and foster teamwork. • Ability to anticipate and adapt to changes effectively. • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis software. • Excellent communication skills, with a focus on timely and engaging information sharing. • Flexibility in work schedule is required. • Proficient in CAD software and mold design principles is a plus. • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and industry standards related to injection molding processes • RJG- Mold Master Training or certification
