The Solutions Engineer acts as the bridge between the sales and operations teams, ensuring technical accuracy, solution feasibility, and cost effectiveness in customer proposals. This role supports the sales team in pre-sales scoping, solution design, and quote validation. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, detail-oriented, and confident in customer-facing discussions.

Partner with Account Executives to evaluate customer needs and design appropriate solutions. Attend discovery calls/site walks and translate requirements into accurate scopes of work. Develop system designs including access control, video surveillance, fire/life safety, and monitoring solutions. Provide Bill of Materials (BOM) and labor estimates for quoting. Customer Engagement Present technical solutions to customers in clear, easy-to-understand terms. Work with project management and operations to confirm solution feasibility. Assist in onboarding new sales staff with technical training.

~ 3+ years of experience in electronic security, life safety, or low-voltage system design. ~ Strong knowledge of access control, video surveillance, and fire systems. ~ Experience with estimating software or CRM/ERP tools (NetSuite preferred). ~ NICET certification (Fire Alarm or related).
