Class B-Pick up & Delivery Driver | Des Moines, IA

Midwest Motor Express (MME), the Midwest operating region of AAA Cooper Transportation, is hiring reliable and safety-conscious Class B truck drivers to join the Des Moines, IA Service Center. As a local city class B driver, you'll interact with customers during daily pickups and deliveries within your local area. This position offers competitive pay, a full benefits package, and daily home time.

Responsibilities

• Operate company-owned tractor-trailer or straight trucks to transport freight between designated locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules, ensuring timely delivery.
• Maintain a safe driving record and comply with all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.
• Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transport.
• Manage electronic logging devices (ELDs) to accurately record driving hours and activities.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, service center personnel, and customers.
• Provide courteous and professional interaction with customers, ensuring a positive representation of ACT.
• Proactively support operations by assisting supervisors with key tasks and initiatives.

Requirements

• Class B CDL
• Endorsements: HazMat
• Verifiable commercial driving experience
• Clean driving record reflecting less than two moving violations in the past 3 years
• Complete all onboarding requirements
• 21 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
