Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Construction Superintendent for an immediate start in Wesley Chapel, FL

PAY: $34-$36/hour (based upon experience)
HOURS: Shifts will be 8-10-hour workdays, 5 days per week
SCHEDULE: Workdays will be Monday- Friday; 7:00 am – 5:.00 pm
START DATE: ASAP
Length of the project: 3+ months

The Construction Superintendent plays a critical role in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion. This position requires strong leadership and organizational skills to ensure that all aspects of the project are executed efficiently, safely, and within the established timelines. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction management, a solid understanding of construction processes, and the ability to manage multiple teams effectively.

Duties

• Oversee daily operations on the construction site to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and laborers to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project schedules.
• Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Primavera P6 for project scheduling and tracking progress.
• Review contracts and manage project budgets, ensuring that all expenditures align with financial forecasts.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality control, safety practices, and adherence to blueprints and schematics.
• Prepare reports on project status, including updates on timelines, budgets, and any issues that arise during construction.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to communicate progress and address any concerns related to the project.
• Ensure all OSHA regulations are followed to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on-site.

Skills

• Proficiency in construction management software such as ProCore, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and Bluebeam.
• Strong understanding of construction management principles, including budgeting, estimating, and quality control.
• Experience with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction site experience is essential.
• Excellent project scheduling abilities with a focus on timely completion of tasks.
• Proven supervisory experience in managing teams within a construction environment.
• Familiarity with OSHA standards and regulations related to construction safety practices.
• Strong analytical skills for effective problem-solving during project execution.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders at all levels. This role is essential for ensuring that projects are completed successfully while maintaining high standards of safety and quality throughout the construction process.
