Job Description
TELACU Construction Management is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager responsible for overseeing the modernization of public works and school projects. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in K-12 DSA educational construction and/or public works, with expertise in project creation, management, budgets, schedules, bid documents, district standards, and design specifications. Knowledge in preconstruction services, planning, contractor procurement (public works contracting code), construction management, and DSA/local project closeout is essential.
Responsibilities:
Report to the Vice President and/or Director
Supervise all subcontractors
Create and update project schedules, understanding tools like P6 and Project
Manage design planning and review, including constructability reviews and value engineering
Oversee project execution, QA/QC, daily reporting, photo documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meetings
Manage project controls, reporting, and ensure compliance with contracts and specifications
Coordinate design and construction of public works, including renovations
Work with DSA or City inspectors from design through closeout
Control project costs, performance, and logistics
Ensure proper project closeout procedures
Perform additional duties as required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field
Minimum of 7 years of experience in designing and constructing K-12 school projects
