- Create a space where curiosity and discovery lead the way.
- Provide lessons tailored to each child, sparking their love for math, literacy, science, practical life skills, and more.
Your Role As the Lead Children's House Guide, you will:
- Observe each child to understand their physical, emotional, and intellectual needs.
- Prepare a beautiful, organized classroom where materials are accessible, purposeful, and inviting.
- Guide children individually and in small groups, helping them master new skills with confidence.
- Foster a respectful, joyful classroom community.
- Partner with parents to support every child's growth and success.
- Low shelves with hands-on materials children can choose themselves.
- Cozy reading nooks, natural light, and real plants that bring life into the room.
- Practical life areas where children learn to prepare snacks, care for the space, and dress themselves.
- Natural materials-wood, glass, and metal-over plastic, cultivating beauty and respect.
- A Montessori diploma for ages 3-6 (or willingness to obtain with our sponsorship).
- Experience working with children in a preschool, daycare, or similar setting.
- A deep respect for the capabilities of young children.
- Familiarity with Montessori or other child-led approaches (or eagerness to learn).
- ECE/Child Development credits and/or a bachelor's degree preferred.
- Sponsored Montessori training through the Prepared Montessorian Institute.
