Overview

Product Marketing Manager is responsible for driving the adoption and growth of a defined product portfolio. This role acts as the voice of the customer, researching to understand customer needs and the customer journey from sale to implementation. By developing a deep understanding of the industry, personas, and competition, this individual will create go-to-market strategies and differentiated messaging that empower sales and marketing teams to communicate product value effectively. You will become a subject matter expert in both the technology category and the market segment it serves.

Compensation: $41/hr

Availability: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. Hybrid, requiring 3 days per week on-site. This is a contract role set to last 6 months with opportunity for extension.

Responsibilities

  • Product Marketing Ownership: Own product marketing responsibility for assigned products by understanding and communicating what is essential to buyer/user personas and the product value proposition.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong cross-functional partnerships with product management, sales, marketing, and learning and enablement teams to execute go-to-market strategies, product launches, and research initiatives.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market plans with alignment across teams.
  • Messaging and Value Propositions: Develop differentiated messaging and value propositions for the structural engineering market, including positioning statements, messaging framework, and persona profiles with firmographics, technographics, and psychographic insights learned from the field.
  • Voice of Customer and Market Research: Conduct quantitative and qualitative market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, buyer personas, and the competitive landscape.
  • Pricing and Packaging: Influence and execute product pricing and packaging decisions.
  • Sales Enablement: Collaborate with the learning and enablement team to develop and execute product sales enablement initiatives, including creation of sales enablement materials and courses for assigned products.
  • Marketing Enablement: Collaborate with the marketing team to deliver key marketing deliverables that articulate value propositions and drive pipeline and bookings.

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a Product Marketing role.
  • Experience in the B2B software market; construction industry experience is a plus.
  • Ability to operate independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Understanding of product marketing best practices and principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong research capabilities with the ability to present new information in compelling, actionable analysis outputs.
  • Collaborative attitude and ability to work across remote teams.
  • Curiosity and passion for understanding customer problems.
