Senior Vice President of Development
to help drive the next phase of expansion and lead the Phoenix office.
Experience Minimum of 15 years of experience with a commercial real estate company with the last 10 years being in Phoenix, Arizona. Career experience with an industrial landlord or developer is required. Vast knowledge of the overall Phoenix commercial real estate industry. Experience in purchasing land sites and land development including site work projects. Proven capability in successful zoning and entitlement actions is required. Heavy experience negotiating industrial leases. Must have experience in site planning, project feasibility and asset management. Familiarity with legal aspects of Arizona real estate. Have had management of staff personnel in their career. Thorough understanding of the industrial real estate industry including market trends, building specifications and the development process. Have worked closely with industrial property managers maintaining buildings and establishing close tenant relationships. Experience in acquisition, disposition and project financing is required. Experience with Multi Family developments is preferred.
Education An undergraduate degree with a major in Business, Construction, Economics, Finance or Real Estate is required. A graduate degree in business is preferred.
Skills Project proforma generation and maintenance. High degree of initiative and independent judgement. Hands on management style with attention to detail. Reporting and presentation ability to upper management or board of directors’ levels. Ability to lead and train employees. Mentoring staff for advancement and proficiency in their roles. Knowledgeable in financial analysis and lease language and related legal concepts. Self-starter with ability to aggressively pursue the goals of the company. Must maintain an understanding and appreciation of the company’s culture and policies. Be able to network in the Phoenix commercial real estate industry and with city government leaders. Ability to handle a significant number of projects and issues on a daily basis. High character, integrity and confident are required traits of this position.
