About the Position
The College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) is looking for an Office Assistant to work at the front desk of NAU's Phoenix Bioscience Core (PBC) campus in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. This position is a customer service-oriented position to assist faculty, staff, students and visitors. Job duties may vary based on those needs and will frequently rely on the competent implementation of Microsoft Office applications. We are seeking someone dependable who is open to being trained in a variety of administrative tasks that vary day to day. A professional demeanor and positive attitude are essential to this position. We are a rapidly expanding college and are looking for someone who is excited about the work our college is doing. Responsibilities Include

Preferred Qualifications
Hourly salary begins at $18.75. Salary commensurate with candidate's qualifications and related experience.

Each year Northern Arizona University releases an Annual Security Report . The report is a result of a federal law known as the Clery Act. The report includes Clery reportable crime statistics for the three most recent completed calendar years and discloses procedures, practices and programs NAU uses to keep students and employees safe including how to report crimes or other emergencies occurring on campus. In addition, the Fire Safety Report is combined with the Annual Security Report for the NAU Flagstaff Mountain Campus as this campus has on-campus student housing. This report discloses fire safety policies and procedures related to on-campus student housing and statistics for fires that occurred in those facilities. Responsibilities Include
Basic Administrative Support - 60%
- Greet faculty, staff, students, vendors, and visitors.
- Confirm appointments and faculty availability.
- Manage phone and email correspondence.
- Track supplies usage and request orders.
- Maintain cleanliness of front desk space and other shared areas.
- Submit work orders and follow up communication.
- Address other inquiries (custodial/facilities, room reservations, parking passes etc.).
Communication Assistance - 35%
- Assist with preapproved tasks from individual programs and Dean's Office.
- Field and answer questions related to PBC Programs.
- When appropriate, support with PBC events.
- Schedule room reservations for faculty, staff and students.
- Provide baseline technology support for hybrid meetings.
Other - 5%
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience required.
- Customer service experience.

- Associate's degree or other continuing education.
- Background and/or interest in health professions.
- Working knowledge of applications such as Canva and Adobe.
- Fundamental knowledge of standard office policies and procedures

- Ability to learn and adapt to new policies and procedures as dictated by the college and/or university
