Accountant Position

Robert Half Talent Solutions is working with a rapidly growing company in Illinois searching for an Accountant.

Key Objectives:

Perform general-ledger account reconciliations and ensure accurate financial reporting and data verification, enabling leadership to make informed decisions in alignment with company goals.

Monitor established financial policies and procedures, while identifying opportunities for improved efficiency and compliance.

Stay informed of current and evolving financial legislation to ensure compliance with national and local regulations.

Key Accountant Responsibilities:

Conduct mid-level general-ledger account reconciliations, verify data accuracy, and identify/correct errors from internal and external sources.

Support financial close processes (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual), including preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and handling accruals.

Provide operational management accounts schedules and variance commentary, along with working-capital cash-flow reports.

Maintain and update financial records for profit and loss, taxes, liabilities, and assets.

Prepare special financial reports for management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing trends and account information.

Handle full-cycle accounting for affiliated companies under owner control, including smaller related party entities.

Required Accountant Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration

3+ years of full cycle accounting experience

ERP system experience, intermediate MS Excel

Comprehensive benefits package and salary to $85k.
