Position Senior Vehicle Controls Engineer – Electric vintage vehicles

Position Summary The Senior Vehicle Controls Engineer will lead the design, testing, and implementation of control systems for electric vintage vehicles. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with mechanical, design, and electrical teams and will provide technical leadership in new product development.
Key Responsibilities
Architect next-generation ECU and vehicle control systems.
Define project requirements and system logic.
Implement and test software and hardware solutions.
Verify vehicle system operations and performance.
Lead cross-functional collaboration in product development.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
5-10 years of experience in vehicle control systems.
Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for powertrain and thermal system design.
Experience with Vector tools (CANape, CANoe, CANalyzer).
Strong understanding of CAN/LIN protocols and electrical engineering fundamentals.
Familiarity with the V-Cycle development process.
Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment.
Preferred Skills
Automotive industry experience.
Experience with CAPL scripting (a plus).
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Passion for vehicles and engineering innovation.
Physical activity including walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
Work in a clean, organized shop environment with moderate noise levels.
Use of safety equipment such as ear protection, eye protection, and respirators as needed.
