Responsibilities
Lead a team of hardware and system engineers to perform schematic capture, layout, mechanical and RF design. Interface with product management, firmware and mobile teams to refine requirements, and ensure that designs and deliverables meet market needs. Transition designs to manufacturing, working with both onshore and offshore manufacturing partners. Define quality standards, own documentation and change management processes to ensure reliability and QA testing. Cultivate relationships with component and module vendors, stay in touch with industry trends and develop the hardware product roadmap. Participate in industry forums and represent the company at standards bodies.
Qualifications
Strong EE fundamentals with a degree in electrical or computer engineering. At least 10 years of industry experience with demonstrated progression from design engineer to lead engineer and then to manager. At least 3 years of experience as a people manager Hands-on expertise in schematic capture and PCB layout for wireless products Experience with using standard lab equipment such as a DMM, oscilloscope and logic analyzer. Familiarity with NPI and manufacturing processes including management of Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and version control. Strong sense of ownership and ability to work independently to take projects from start to finish Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to summarize and present to non-technical audiences
