Patient Scheduling Support Representative @ Midi Health

The Patient Scheduling Support Representative plays a critical role in real-time patient communication and schedule optimization. Sitting within the Scheduling Team, this role serves as a key bridge between patients and our clinical operations, handling patient responses to appointment changes via text, email, and phone. This position supports live patient rescheduling inquiries, ensuring swift resolution and a positive experience.

Business impact Real-Time Patient Communication:

Respond to patient replies triggered by reschedule notifications (SMS/email) following Midi Scheduling Team SLAs. Engage with patients to identify appointment options that meet their availability and preferences. Provide empathetic and informed support via text, phone, or email.

Scheduling Workflow Support:

Apply Midi’s scheduling logic, appointment types, time zone complexities, and clinician availability. Modify, cancel, and rebook appointments in Athena following Midi scheduling protocols. Coordinate with the core Scheduler team on open time blocks, waitlists, and escalations.

General Operations Support:

Monitor and respond to scheduling-related Zendesk tickets and internal Slack threads. Complete additional administrative tasks or special projects as assigned by the Scheduling Supervisor or the Practice Manager.

What you will need to succeed

Experience:

3–5 years of experience in a high-volume healthcare operations or patient services role. At least 2 years of experience working in AthenaHealth and Zendesk.

Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication, strong attention to detail, and follow-through in a fast-paced, remote-first environment. Comfort working with time-sensitive inquiries and managing multiple communication channels simultaneously.

Technical Proficiency:

Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in digital health or virtual care environments

Understanding of clinical scheduling workflows and patient coordination best practices

Bilingual Spanish a plus

What we offer

Compensation: $22/hour, non-exempt

Full Time, 40-hour work-week
