Marketing Science VP, Advanced Analytics & Data Strategy — We’re looking for an innovative and strategic leader to serve as our VP of Advanced Analytics & Data Strategy. In this high-impact role, you will oversee and evolve the core of CMB’s analytics and data functions—leading a talented team while driving the development of AI-powered solutions to modernize and accelerate segmentation, market sizing, conjoint, and simulation work. You’ll shape the future of how we design, analyze, and deliver custom market research, playing a key role in our pursuit of smarter, faster, and more effective insights. Reporting to the SVP of Client Services, this role offers the opportunity to be both a hands-on expert and a visionary leader, influencing client outcomes, internal innovation, and our broader thought leadership in the industry. This role may be hybrid in Boston or work remotely in the US.

About Your Background You’ve built a strong track record leading custom market research analytics with hands-on experience in AI-enhanced data strategy and analysis. You bring proficiency in advanced methodologies and in tools such as Sawtooth and SPSS, and you’re a trusted leader known for mentoring teams and delivering impactful insights. Here’s what you’ll do and the qualifications we’re looking for:

Responsibilities and Expectations

Coach and advise the Advanced Analytics and Data Management teams; help guide strategic priorities and market opportunities

Establish standards and best practices for tools and processes; adapt to meet client needs and drive innovation

Collaborate with Growth Strategy and Product Development to deliver quality, speed, and efficiency in design, analytics and reporting using AI

Anticipate future capabilities, including AI-enhanced methodological design, data collection, analytics and reporting

Partner with Account Executives and Product Development to develop revenue-driving, long-term client value solutions

Qualifications

Master’s degree in statistics, math, market research, psychology, economics, or related field

Minimum of 10 years independently managing custom market research analytics projects and teams

Experience pioneering generative AI approaches to data collection, analysis, and report automation

Experience with complex market research techniques (conjoint/choice modeling, segmentation, simulations, modeling, time-series, etc.)

Hands-on experience with Sawtooth Software, SPSS (including AnswerTree) and related tools; familiarity with AI-enabled analytics

Strong leadership, mentorship, relationship-building, and collaboration skills

Proven ability to manage milestones, deliverables, budgets, and multi-project priorities

Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills; hands-on, collaborative team player

Utilization and Travel

Utilization goal: 20-40%

Travel: Less than 15%

The annual base salary range for this position is $175,000-$215,000 plus bonus, benefits, and an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP). Salary is dependent on experience, expertise, skills, and location.
