Who We Need Arootah is searching for experienced Directors or Heads of Investor Relations to consult for our prestigious client base. As a consultant, you will work with Hedge Fund and Family Office clients to provide expert Investor Relations advice and services. Candidates should have previously served in a senior role as a Director or Head of Investor Relations with hands-on experience in executing the firm’s entire IR process, including onboarding clients and ongoing servicing for a leading Hedge Fund or Family Office.

The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role. What You\'ll Do

Provide advice and guidance to Arootah clients on Investor Relations needs, including working with leading Hedge Funds and Family Offices and sharing expertise to help clients achieve IR goals.

Develop realistic and effective monthly action plans.

Identify internal and contextual roadblocks.

Break apart goals into actionable steps and devise plans of action for each goal.

Provide clients with resources for implementing their action plans.

Implement policies, procedures, and control measures.

Review, analyze, and report on client tools and resources to ensure industry best practices.

Evaluate client progress toward goals using KPIs and scoring matrices.

Maintain and share detailed records of consulting results and outcomes.

Manage day-to-day investor relations activities, including onboarding, addressing client questions, ongoing servicing, and ensuring a positive investor experience.

Deliver accurate and consistent messaging to existing and potential investors.

Assist in creating, editing, and maintaining marketing materials (pitch books, fund risk reports, monthly investor publications, and client materials).

Proactively address RFPs and DDQs and maintain related documentation.

Review monthly performance reports with an understanding of performance, exposure, and data analyses.

Collaborate with internal groups (senior management, operations, risk, legal, compliance) to satisfy client and regulatory requirements and ensure RFP/DDQ accuracy.

Create and update marketing materials for investor meetings, calls, conferences, and roadshows.

Maintain distributable monthly attribution, risk, and AUM templates; manage external databases with firm data.

Maintain and enhance the firm\'s data warehouse and internal databases to improve client requests handling.

Support weekly and monthly performance update communications and respond to ad hoc client requests.

Qualifications

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Finance, or Business Administration, or a related field.

MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

Sales or financial industry designations (such as Series 7 or Series 63) are a plus.

A minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in a similar IR/Marketing role within a Hedge Fund, Alternative Investment Firm or Family Office.

Experience working with sophisticated institutional clients and a proven ability to develop new opportunities.

Strong sales instincts and ability to establish new relationships.

Knowledge of multi-asset sectors and investment types (public equity, private equity, fixed income, absolute return multi-strategy, etc.).

Analytical and quantitative skills with strong written and verbal communication.

Confident client presentation skills (in person and over the phone).

Team player with entrepreneurial mindset and interpersonal skills to interact across senior levels.

Self-starter with strong project management and follow-through.

Contractor

Hours are based on client needs (0-40 hours per week).

The hourly rate is $200 - $400 per hour, determined by engagement length, complexity, required specialization, certifications, skills, and experience.
