Responsible for championing all EHS functions on the site and for the effective safety program development, coordination, and presentation of EHS training programs for all employees. Conducts audits to assess compliance with applicable government safety regulations and company/industry policies. Develops and implements EHS programs and policies.

This is a long term contract assignment.
Conducts new hire safety orientations. Conducts monthly EHS audits and follows up to ensure corrective actions are completed. Manage radiation safety program including training and registration of x-ray equipment. Investigate injuries, illnesses, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions. Maintains OSHA 300 log as required by law. Coordinate EHS responses and corrective actions to audits from IOSHA, HQ, Client Supplier Responsibility, and others. Maintain and generate GHG reporting. Prepares and implements EHS SOPs and programs. Prepares and conducts training programs including Radiation Safety, Battery Dismantle, New Hires, Hazardous Materials, Forklifts, and Ergonomics. Provides certification of forklift operators. Prepares and maintains Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs). Coordinates emergency evacuation drills. Manages the hazardous waste collection and proper removal from the site. Tracks usage of hazardous materials as required. Conducts reviews of new equipment to include ergonomics, any lockout tagout, machine guarding, or emergency stop requirements. Posts EHS programs and other relevant information for workers to access. Manages document control of EHS documents. Required Education and Experience BSc/BA in Safety management in EHS-related fields and/or 5+ years of experience. Professional certification (CIH or CSP) is merit.
