Our Ideal Candidate Our ideal candidate is a hands-on IT professional who excels in a role blending IT support and systems administration. You will ensure reliable operation, security, and performance of internal systems, cloud infrastructure, and end-user devices, while managing user access, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting onboarding and offboarding processes. Playing a key role in maintaining security and compliance—particularly with HIPAA, SOC, and HITRUST standards—is central to this position. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex problems, leading IT projects, and wearing many hats to keep technology running seamlessly across the organization.
Responsibilities System Administration Manage user account creation, role-based access control, and permissions across Microsoft 365, AWS, and internal software platforms. Oversee system backups, disaster recovery protocols, and endpoint security tools. Support migrations from legacy systems to cloud platforms. Monitor system performance and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity. Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, access logs, and user guides. Implement and maintain security policies and device configuration policies across Microsoft 365.
IT Support Serve as the first point of contact for IT support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and access issues. Provision and deprovision of user accounts, devices, and Microsoft 365 licenses. Support onboarding/offboarding and provide basic employee training on IT tools and best practices. Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Mac devices, systems, network devices, and peripherals. Monitor system performance, maintain IT inventory, and ensure security and compliance (SOC, HITRUST, company policies). Manage IT vendor relationships and lead coordination of technology projects and company-wide IT initiatives.
Qualifications Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of experience in system administration, IT support, or related roles. Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Amazon Web Services, and endpoint management tools. Strong knowledge of Windows/Mac OS, Microsoft 365, networking, and system administration. Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) and experience with automation tools. Experience with hardware setup, device management (e.g., Intune), troubleshooting, and maintenance. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) is a plus. Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and compliance standards. Demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail, paired with effective interpersonal and communication abilities.
Preferred certifications CompTIA Server+, Security+, or A+ Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
